Anticipating that the monorail services will have to be started in the coming months, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has started the process and will soon be appointing an agency to carry out sanitisation work. Tenders have also been invited for the deployment of sniffer dogs.

A senior MMRDA official said, "We have invited tenders for appointment of an agency that will provide us with 20 sniffer dogs for 17 monorail stations and one depot."
