The family of Sachin Jaiswar, the 17-year-old who died in 2018, finally accepted his remains and performed the last rites on Tuesday. They had refused to claim the body alleging that police torture led to the death. Following their refusal, the body has been in JJ Hospital’s mortuary since July 21, 2018. After the Bombay High court’s order, a fresh post mortem was carried out after which the body was accepted by the family.
