Mumbai: At 5,888, city records lowest COVID-19 count in April yet

The number of deaths, however, is still on the higher side with 71 succumbing. In the state, 67,160 new cases and 676 deaths were reported on Saturday.

The city registered 5,888 new cases on Saturday, the lowest in April after reaching a peak at 11,163 daily cases on April 4.

The number of deaths, however, is still on the higher side with 71 succumbing. In the state, 67,160 new cases and 676 deaths were reported on Saturday. Incidentally, the number of tests is also lesser than what was being done in the earlier weeks of April. As per Saturday’s report, 39,584 tests were conducted across the city. Earlier, the number of tests were above 45,000.
