BEST announces route changes, AC bus expansions for several services from March 1, check details here

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport BEST on Friday announced several changes to its bus services across Mumbai The revisions will come into effect from March 1 2026The changes include route diversions short terminations and conversion of selected routes into airconditioned AC services an official statement saidIt said that the aim is to improve operational efficiency and reduce congestion in busy areasThe BEST also shared details of the changes being madeRoute A1 to skip Bandra ReclamationBus Route A1 which runs between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Santacruz Depot will no longer take the loop via Bandra Reclamation Bus Station and Bandra Bus Station WestInstead the service will run directly from Mahim Koliwada to Bandra Cinema via Swami Vivekanand Road in both directionsRoute A6 to Terminate at Electric HouseRoute A6 currently operates between Backbay Depot and Tata Power Station From March the stretch between Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk and Backbay Depot will be cancelledThe bus will now terminate at Colaba Depot Electric HouseRoute A22 to Start from Jijamata UdyanRoute A22 which operates between Vijay Vallabh Chowk and Majas Depot will now begin from Jijamata UdyanThe revised service will operate only between Jijamata Udyan and Majas DepotRoute 69 Shortened up to SewriRoute 69 currently runs between Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk Museum and Wadala Depot From March 1 it will terminate at Prabodhankar Thackeray Udyan Sewri Bus stopThe service will operate only between Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk and Prabodhankar Thackeray UdyanRoute A101 Extended to Mahatma Phule MandaiRoute A101 which runs between World Trade Centre and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus will be extended up to Mahatma Phule MandaiThe bus will travel via Hutatma Chowk and Mumbai University to CSMT On the return journey it will run via DN Road and Siddharth CollegeThe revised route will now operate between World Trade Centre and Mahatma Phule MandaiRoute 411 Diverted in Chandivali AreaRoute 411 operating between Wadala Depot and Sangharsh Nagar Chandivali will no longer run via Sant Kabir 60 Feet RoadInstead it will be diverted via KK Krishnan Marg 90 Feet Road and Sant Rohidas MargRoute A415 to End at SEEPZ Bus StationRoute A415 which operates between Agarkar Chowk Andheri East and SEEPZ Gaon will now terminate at SEEPZ Bus StationThe revised service will run between Agarkar Chowk and SEEPZ Bus Station onlyConversion to AirConditioned AC ServicesBEST has also announced that several routes will be converted into AC servicesA103 RC Church to Kamala Nehru UdyanA224 Shastri Nagar to Borivali Bus Station WestA235 Andheri Station West via Millat NagarA248 Andheri Station West to Ramesh NagarA254 Andheri Station West to Veera Desai Road ExtendedA361 Mahul Village to Kurla Bus Station EastA492 Majas Depot to Bhoomi Acres ThanePurpose of the changesAccording to BEST officials the revisions aim toreduce overlapping routesimprove punctualityease congestion in busy city centresoptimise operational costs and provide more comfortable AC travel optionsCommuters are advised to check the updated routes before travelling from March 1 2026 the official statement said
