The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced water supply cuts in many parts of Mumbai on Monday, June 3, and Tuesday, June 4, 2024, due to an internal inspection of the Malabar Hill Reservoir. Water supply to parts of A, C, D, G South and G North wards will experience a water cut, said BMC.

The inspection will be conducted by a team of professors from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. The reservoir's compartments 1 and 2 will be emptied in stages for this purpose. This examination is part of the BMC's efforts to examine prior expert findings and guarantee that Mumbai residents have continuous access to clean water.
