Civic official says the man who abused the marshal was asked to pay a fine for not wearing a mask

Days after a video went viral in which a clean-up marshal was seen hanging from the bonnet of a car while it was being driven, another marshal was seen in another viral video being beaten up by a man. The second video went viral on Monday.
While in the video the man claims that the marshal hit him first, the former is seen badly beating him up and hurling abuses as well.

Requesting anonymity, a civic official said, “People argue when they are asked to pay fines for not wearing masks. Marshals click photos and then charge the fine. In this particular incident, the person wearing a check shirt did not have a mask on. The marshal took his photo and asked him to pay the fine. The person snatched his mobile phone and started abusing and assaulting the marshal. Then some onlookers started beating up the marshal too.”
