There was no foul play in the suicide of musician Karan Joseph, the Crime Branch has found, but they are yet to know why he killed himself. According to sources, the crime branch likely to submit a final report in the case either this week or the next.

Sources said, "Preliminary data collected at the crime scene and reconstruction of the sequence of the incident, analysed with the findings of the autopsy exam prima facie match the eyewitness account. However, compiling all relevant data and preparation of the final report is still pending." When mid-day contacted Karan's uncle Anthony Heredia, he refused to comment. Meanwhile, crime branch officials said, "We will speak once the detail report is in our hands."

Karan killed himself on September 9. His suicide case was initially being investigated by the Bandra police but was transferred to the crime branch's unit 5 on September 21 after his family raised several doubts with the police commissioner about the events that led to his death. In October, the crime branch recreated the crime scene with a 60 kg dummy. A team of three doctors from Cooper hospital were present there and are making a report on the same.

No stone unturned
In addition to this, the cops have left no stone unturned to gather evidence in the case. mid-day had earlier reported how a constable who visited the building soon after the incident had seen a red dot which looked like a blood stain. Crime branch officials sent that dot for forensic analysis.

Sources also revealed that crime branch is preparing to answer all questions raised by Karan's family and friends. They said Karan's family is planning to move court to seek a CBI investigation.
