This mammoth racing yacht with a Chinese crew was on a Silk Road trip, stopping at different countries around the world with the aim to promote Qindao as a great yachting destination.
Yesterday, we dropped by for the last day of a three-day photography exhibition, Life &amp; Dreams In China that showcased moods and colours from the country at the hall in Ravindra Natya Mandir complex in Prabhadevi.
What struck this diarist the most, besides some eye-catching pictures showing the evolution in lifestyle of China, was the message board at the exit signed by visitors. There were a number of &lsquo;Hindi-Chini bhai-bhai&rsquo; messages.
Exhibitions and yachts notwithstanding, we think the Chinese-Indian collaboration is already evident on our streets. Case in point: Chinese dosa and Chinese bhel. What say, Mumbai?
Making space on the tube Popular film-school Whistling Woods International is planning to set foot in the digital space in collaboration with YouTube.
YouTube Spaces Mumbai that will launch on December 3 claims to be a state-of-the-art collaboration and production facility for online video creators that will allow them along with students at WWI to learn about video production and collaborate with other creators. The facilities are designed such that creators can produce original digital video content, from the start of an idea through to filming, editing, and uploading on YouTube.
In addition to the physical studio space that will be available to students and creators free of charge, YouTube and WWI will develop original courses to train the next generation of Indian filmmakers to succeed on digital and online media. YouTube Space Mumbai is the latest to open after YouTube Spaces in Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, New York, Brazil, and Berlin.
