A Covid Care Centre being run in a marriage hall, Nazm Baugh, in Dongri, has now been shut down. The furniture and other items used there for it will be donated to JJ Hospital by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The dismantling of Jumbo Covid centres is on hold, but the shutdown of CCCs has begun. During the first wave of Covid-19, the BMC had acquired the marriage hall and converted it  into a 100-bed CCC with oxygen facility. The Assistant Municipal Commissioner of B ward, Dhanaji Herlekar, said, “Until now around 800 patients have been treated and discharged here. There was no casualty in the centre.
