A fire broke out in the wee hours of Saturday at a bungalow in Bandra suburb of Mumbai, said officials.  The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) promptly responded to the distress call in the early hours of May 11 reporting the fire incident at Narang Bungalow, which is situated on Zig Zag Road in Pali Hill, Bandra West. The fire was classified as Fire L-1, officials said.

The MFB started firefighting operations as soon as it arrived at 01:22 am, allocating resources to put out the fire. The first, second, and third floors were the main areas where the fire, which started on the bungalow's property, was contained. The total area affected by the fire was around 50 feet by 100 feet.

The MFB's preliminary investigations showed that the fire mostly damaged false ceilings, AC outdoor units, hardwood furniture, household items, LPG gas cylinders and electric wiring within the bungalow's interior.

Despite the severity of the situation, the firefighters acted quickly, and by 5:00 am, the flames had been put out. The incident did not result in any recorded injuries.

While investigations are being conducted to identify the primary source of the ignition, authorities are still evaluating the level of damage inflicted by the fire.
