<p>On Monday, a fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in South Mumbai, said officials and added that thus far there has been no report of any casualty. The fire broke out in a building in Masjid area, the official told PTI.&nbsp;</p>
<p>According to the PTI report, the blaze erupted around 1 pm in the Vishvamangala Housing Society building on Chakala Street in Masjid and was confined to the third and fourth floors.</p>
<p>Reportedly, the fire brigade personnel and the police officials rushed to the spot and began the rescue and fire-fighting operation.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The PTI report stated that although no injuries have been reported, the exact cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Meanwhile, in another incident from Boisar MIDC in Palghar district, a person was injured after a fire broke out in a drug manufacturing unit. Per another PTI report, the blaze erupted at 2.30 pm and was brought under control within an hour and a half.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Reportedly, two fire engines and several personnel were deployed to douse the fire.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"One industrial worker received minor injuries and has been hospitalised. Cooling operations are underway at the site. The cause of the fire is not known. Some work was on at the unit when it erupted," the fire brigade official told PTI.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A 47-year-old man died when a fire broke out at an apartment in a 27-story residential building in Thane city, Maharashtra, in the early hours of Wednesday, civic officials said, according to news agency PTI.</p>
<p>The Thane apartment fire broke out around 3.11 a.m. at an apartment on the fourth floor of the Tulsidham Society building, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management unit chairman Yasin Tadvi told PTI. Balkum firefighters and the regional crisis management cell team responded quickly after being notified, he said.</p>
<p>Rescue workers found Arun Kedia unconscious in a flat room. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where physicians confirmed him dead, according to the official.</p>
<p>Four other house residents, including two minors, rushed to safety, he added.</p>
<p>The Thane flat fire destroyed the rooms and several household objects, including furniture. The fire was put out at 4.22 a.m., according to the official, as reported by PTI.</p>
<p>The other building inhabitants fled out of their units as soon as the Thane apartment fire started, he said.</p>
<p>The official stated the cause of the blaze was being investigated.</p><p>
