A major fire broke out last night at the Deonar dumping yard, which had recently battled a massive blaze that led to smog in the area. The blaze broke out yesterday in the afternoon and fire tenders were rushed to contain the fire, a fire brigade official said.

"Flames and smoke emerged from three new spots and were spread across more than five acres of area towards Vashi creek. Fire brigade jawans had controlled the fire but thick smoke was seen," he said.
