A fire broke out on the 28th floor of the Gokul Concorde Building, a stilt-plus-36-storey high-rise on Dattani Park Road in Kandivali East, on Wednesday evening.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) fire brigade received the call at 7.54 pm and declared it a Level-1 fire at 7.55 pm. The fire was confined to the 28th floor and brought under control without any reported injuries.
BMC’s Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), police personnel, and ward staff were mobilised to the site to ensure safety and manage the situation.

Fire breaks out at company in Digha industrial area near Thane; no injuries reported
A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a company in the Digha industrial area near Thane in Maharashtra, but was swiftly brought under control, officials said.
According to disaster control chief Sachin Kadam, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) Disaster Management Cell received an alert about the incident at around 1.30 pm, reported the PTI.
The blaze had erupted on the premises of Sulzer Pumps India Pvt Ltd, prompting the dispatch of a fire engine and a water bowser from the Airoli Fire Station, he said.
Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control within approximately 45 minutes, and cooling operations were ongoing, Kadam added.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the cause of the fire has yet to be established, he said.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a pile of scrap material kept on an open ground in Mumbai's Goregaon area early on Tuesday, officials said.
No casualty was reported in the incident, they said.
According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the fire broke out in an open plot at Gokhale Wadi, Ganesh Nagar, near Shakala Industrial Estate in Goregaon (East), officials said.
According to MFB, the incident was reported at around 3:50 am. The blaze was confined to dry shrubs, grass, refuse, plastic waste and scrap materials spread over approximately 4,000 sq ft of open ground.
The MFB declared the incident as Level-I at 3:42 am and deployed multiple resources to the site. The response team included four fire engines, two jumbo tankers, one water tanker, one Quick Response Vehicle, an ADFO, and three senior station officers. Police personnel, a 108 ambulance team, and ward staff from the BMC were also mobilised for support.
