A day after the mass food poisoning fiasco, the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) recorded fewer footfalls on the concluding day of its conference on Friday.

Rishabh Shah, founder-president of IIMUN, said the number of participants dropped by 75% as compared with the attendees on Thursday at Whistling Woods, KC College and Lala Lajpatrai College, and by 50% at Thadomal Sahani College of Engineering.
Shah claimed that some 3,000 participating students and teachers signed a petition on Friday, seeking action by the state government against Box8, whose food supplied across all four venues of the conference on Thursday allegedly caused food poisoning among 300-400 attendees.
The organizers have also filed a complaint with the Khar police against Box8.
All children safe &ldquo;The FIR has been filed against food service provider Box8 under sections 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 273 (sale of noxious food or drink) of the IPC. All children affected by food poisoning have recuperated and have been discharged from hospitals,&rdquo; said Mohan Dahikar, deputy commissioner of police.
