The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) on Thursday announced a brand new international travel package -- “Japan’s Alpine Wonders & Heritage” -- from Mumbai starting this October.
The IRCTC, a ‘Navratna’ public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, said that this 10-day guided tour, departing on October 5, 2025, offers Indian travellers a chance to explore the natural beauty and rich traditions of Japan, including the famous Alpine Route and the cultural cities of Kyoto and Hiroshima. The tour ends on October 14, 2025.
The IRCTC also shared the details of the tour-
Route: Mumbai – Tokyo – Mt. Fuji – Hakone – Alpine Route – Toyama – Hiroshima – Osaka – Kyoto – Tokyo – Mumbai
Duration: 9 Nights / 10 Days
Tariff: Rs 3,29,700 per person (on double/triple occupancy)
The IRCTC said that the all inclusive package includes, return international flights (Mumbai-Tokyo-Mumbai), comfortable hotel stays, AC coach travel for local sightseeing, daily breakfast, Indian food, entry fees for all attractions, travel insurance, services of experienced IRCTC tour escorts.
Speaking about the launch, Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager of IRCTC West Zone, said, "This curated tour will offer an unforgettable experience covering Japan’s modern cities, sacred temples, alpine mountains, and heritage sites. Highlights include Tokyo’s vibrant city life, Mount Fuji, Kyoto’s traditional shrines, Osaka Castle, and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial."
