The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Friday announced a special pilgrimage train tour covering the holy cities of Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and Varanasi from Mumbai.

According to an official statement, the tour, titled ‘Ayodhya-Prayagraj with Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga Yatra’, will begin on August 14, 2025 from Dadar railway station in Mumbai, by a chartered 2nd AC coach on Train No. 01027 (Dadar–Varanasi Special).


"The IRCTC, a ‘Navratna’ PSU under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, continues its commitment to promoting spiritual tourism with the launch of the Ayodhya-Prayagraj with Kashi Vishvanath Jyotirlinga Yatra by Chartered Coach . This exclusive pilgrimage tour offers a spiritually enriching journey through three of India’s most revered cities-Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj departing from Dadar on August 14," the official statement said.



It said that this 8-night/9-day yatra offers pilgrims a chance to visit some of India’s most revered spiritual landmarks, including the following-

- Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sarnath, and other temples in Varanasi

- Ram Janmabhumi, Hanuman Garhi, and Sarayu River in Ayodhya

- Triveni Sangam and local sites in Prayagraj

The officials said that the journey is part of IRCTC’s efforts to promote spiritual tourism and is operated under the guidance of the Ministry of Railways. The package includes 2nd AC travel in a chartered coach, hotel accommodation, breakfast and meals at hotels, AC bus sightseeing, professional tour escorts and travel insurance.

The all-inclusive package starts at Rs 34,700 per person (on triple occupancy).

Only 44 seats are available in this special coach, and early booking is advised, the statement said.

“This yatra is a tribute to India’s spiritual and cultural heritage,” said Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, IRCTC West Zone, Mumbai.

“We have curated it to offer a smooth and fulfilling journey for devotees, with all amenities taken care of,” he said.

The return journey will be via Train No. 01026 (Prayagraj–Dadar Special), ensuring both comfort and convenience for travellers, the statement further said.
