All anganwadis and schools in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) area will remain closed on Saturday, July 4, after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for the district, forecasting heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.

The Thane district administration announced a holiday for all anganwadis as well as primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.
