Handing more freedom to the fully vaccinated citizens to move around in the city, the government launched an e-pass on Thursday. With this digital document, commuters will be able to avoid the queues at railway stations to get their vaccination certificates verified though they will have to visit the counters to buy season tickets. The e-pass will act as proof of vaccination with a photograph of a person, something the CoWIN platform doesn’t provide.
However, the e-pass will be given to people only after 14 days of receiving the second dose. With a photo of the holder on it, the e-passes can be used to access establishments like malls without much hassle.
