A high-power committee on Tuesday conducted a site inspection near Chowpatty to assess space requirements for a proposed technical building linked to the Orange Gate-Marine Drive twin tunnel project, a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving connectivity between Mumbai's eastern and southern regions.
During the inspection, Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Dr Ashwini Joshi directed the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to examine the feasibility of constructing the technical building at the existing basketball court near the Mafatlal Swimming Pool and submit a proposal to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
