Services on the Harbour line were affected on Wednesday during peak hours in the evening, leaving thousands of commuters stranded on the platforms.

According to the Central Railway, the services were affected as the overhead electricity (OHE) wires were not holding power on both - up and down - lines between Thane and Airoli. “Restoration of traffic was our first priority. The tower wagon reached the site and services were resumed,” a CR spokesperson said.
