Mumbai: Rail grinding work starts on Mumbai Metro One, commuters experience minor delays

In view of enhancing commuter safety and improving track quality, Mumbai Metro One, on Thursday, April 30, initiated rail grinding operations as part of its proactive maintenance programme. The work is being carried out in collaboration with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, officials said.

Rail grinding is a crucial maintenance activity aimed at smoothing out irregularities on tracks, reducing wear and tear, and ensuring a safer and more comfortable ride for passengers.
