According to the police, to avoid congestion and ensure smooth flow of vehicles, the road will be one-way from Ganpatrao Kadam Marg to Pandurang Budhkar Marg. The arrangement will apply 24 hours a day from 12:01 am on Nov 23, 2025 until midnight on Dec 7

The Mumbai Traffic Police on Sunday have announced that Shankarrao Naram Path in Worli will become a temporary one-way road till December 7 due to the ongoing concreting work.

The road, which is normally two-way and 12 metres wide, is currently being dug up on one half.


Only 6 metres are open for traffic, making movement difficult, a traffic police notification said on Sunday.



According to the police, to avoid congestion and ensure smooth flow of vehicles, the road will be one-way from Ganpatrao Kadam Marg to Pandurang Budhkar Marg. The arrangement will apply 24 hours a day from 12:01 am on November 23, 2025 until midnight on December 7, 2025.

The notification was issued by Dr Dipali Dhate, Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ & Central Traffic), Mumbai, under the Motor Vehicles Act.

The police have also shared a list of alternate routes for motorists.

Alternate routes

To manage traffic towards Lower Parel and Currey Road, the following diversions will be in place:

- For traffic from Dr Annie Besant Road: Pandurang Budhkar Marg - Kurne Chowk - Gopalnagar Junction - Deepak Talkies Signal - Left to N. M. Joshi Road - Dhanmill Naka - Right to S. L. Matkar Marg - Senapati Bapat Road.

- Podar Junction - Worli Naka - Left to Ganpatrao Kadam Marg.

- For traffic from Coastal Road / Sea Link:

- Bindu Madhav Junction - Podar Junction - Right to Worli Naka - Left to Ganpatrao Kadam Marg.

The Traffic Department has urged all motorists to follow the diversions and drive carefully along the affected stretch.

Meanwhile, in view of the Navy Half Marathon on Sunday, several roads across the city were closed, and multiple bus routes were diverted to ensure smooth traffic movement. Commuters were advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

Bhulabai Desai Road remained fully closed from 5 am, affecting bus route no. 132. Similarly, Peddar Road, Haji Ali and Breach Candy roads saw closures impacting routes 108, 123, 155, 78, 63, and 77.

Buses on routes 78 and 63 were diverted via Coastal Road and Mukesh Chowk, respectively, while route 77 curtailed at Haji Ali.

The NSCI road was also closed from 5 am to 8:05 am, affecting route 154, which curtailed at the S T Office.

Additionally, M G Road remained closed from 6 am on Sunday, with routes 28, 86, 83, 5, 15, 9, 14, 21, 51, 69, 103, 124, 25, 138, and C10 diverted via Mahapalika Road and Shahid Bhagat Singh Road.

Maharshi Karve Road and Karmveer Bhaurao Patil Road also remained closed from 6 am, with routes C10, 25, 45, 6, 14, and 138 diverted via Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, and route 134 diverted via Mohammad Ali Road.
