Mumbai shows slight rise in COVID-19 cases

With 6,387 people vaccinated in the city on Tuesday, the total number of those inoculated is 53,784

The state recorded less than 2,000 COVID-19 cases while the city reported less than 400 on Tuesday. The state recorded 1,927 cases, taking the total tally of Maharashtra to 20.30 lakh. The city saw 334 fresh cases while the Thane Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan Dombivli corporations recorded 54, 43 and 75 cases respectively in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. 

The total number of COVID-related deaths recorded in the state was 30. The state’s recovery rate now stands at 95.37 per cent with 4,011 patients discharged on Tuesday. Mumbai’s recovery rate stands at 94 per cent while the doubling rate is improving and currently is at 565 days. The city’s daily growth rate in the last one week is just 0.12 per cent as the total count now stands at 3.09 lakh cases. The city has 5,528 ongoing cases.
