Mumbai train murder raised in Maharashtra Assembly Monsoon Session; govt asked to make statement

The fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old passenger on a Mumbai local train was raised in the Maharashtra Assembly, with Congress MLA Nana Patole seeking a discussion on the incident

The stabbing to death of a 22-year-old passenger on a local train was raised in the Maharashtra Assembly on Thursday. Calling the incident a serious matter, Congress MLA Nana Patole demanded a discussion in the House. Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar directed the state government to make a statement on the incident.

Safety Concerns in House

After the Question Hour session, the state Legislative Assembly, Patole raised the issue of the recent murder on a Mumbai local train on the Western Railway line. Expressing concern over the safety of railway passengers and people on the streets, Patole said the incident was a matter of urgent public concern and demanded a discussion in the Maharashtra Assembly.
