Siesta on wheels: Autos turn Vile Parle bylanes into a resting bay

Residents of Vile Parle East say their bylanes are routinely hijacked by auto drivers and cabbies every afternoon for lunch and a nap, making it difficult for locals to park their own vehicles. Request traffic police to patrol area thoroughly and impose fines on trespassers.

Between 2 pm and 4 pm, Gujarat Society Road in Vile Parle East turns into a siesta spot for auto and cab drivers, according to residents of the area who say they cannot park their vehicles in front of their homes due to this practice.
