The discarded remains of a six-month-old foetus were recovered from the drainage pipe of Samrudhhi building in Borivli (West). A 25-year-old woman, Nanda Gore, accused of flushing the foetus down the toilet, has been arrested.

The incident came to light when the accused’s family complained to the secretary of their housing society regarding a blocked drainage pipe in their home. Soon, the secretary received several other complaints regarding a possible blockage and approached a plumber to fix it.
