In a decisive move to curb traffic violations and ensure commuter safety, a special enforcement drive led by Traffic DCP Navi Mumbai Tirupati Kakde resulted in action against 65 errant auto rickshaw drivers and other motorists on Friday, April 24.
The joint operation, carried out between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm, saw officials cracking down on multiple violations under the Motor Vehicles Act, including improper parking, refusal of fares, and flouting of basic traffic norms. The sudden inspection created a sense of urgency among drivers, many of whom were seen scrambling to comply with regulations.
