Now, travel from Mumbai to Lonavala by seaplane

Commercial seaplane services take off between Mumbai and Lonavala's Aamby Valley hill station on Monday, with the over 100-km-long flight taking 25-28 minutes, or one-fourth of the time taken by road

India's first seaplane service from the mainland was launched on Monday, a move which is likely to boost tourism, especially in coastal areas.

Maritime Energy Heli Air Services (MEHAIR), in association with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), launched the service between Mumbai and Aamby Valley near Lonavala, about 120km from here.
