Phew! No auto or taxi strike in Mumbai till October 31

Mumbaikars can rejoice, at least for the time being, as major taxi and auto rickshaw unions have decided not to go on any strike till October 31. In a meeting held yesterday chaired by state Transport minister Diwakar Raote, the operations of Uber and Ola were discussed and the union leaders have agreed to wait till the end of next month when the expert committee submits its report to the Centre.
