Is Anant Narayan your real or filmi name?
I was named Anant after my ancestral village Sarai Anant Ram. Narayan is my middle name. My full name is Anant Narayan Mehrotra but my father decided to drop Mehrotra from his name.

Why did you keep your identity as a prince a secret?
I did not want people to change their attitude towards me because I'm a Yuvraj. I gorge on street food and ghar ka khana, enjoy typical Bollywood masala films in local single screen theatres, have always travelled by public transport, studied at Delhi University and even as a journalist, I sat outside the editor's offices for appointments.
