Resident doctors at Rajawadi Hospital struck work yesterday and refused to treat patients at the civic-run hospital in Ghatkopar. They were protesting the attack on a doctor on Monday night by a patient. According to doctors, Dr Gaurav Adankar was struck by a patient identified as Saif Sheikh on Monday night. Doctors said that Sheikh, who was intoxicated, felt ignored by Dr Adankar and wanted to be treated immediately.
