Rs 107 cr plan to protect Mumbai roads

The Maharashtra government has mooted a Rs 107 crore plan to protect roads and houses along Mumbai's coastline from damage due to tides and violent winds. The decision was taken at a meeting of the district planning and developing committee held here.

"The aim is to protect roads and buildings from tides and wind which causes maximum damage in areas along the sea," Mumbai's Guardian Minister Nawab Malik said.
