It promised a lot, but didn't find many takers. The Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) that offers a smooth ride in just seven minutes witnesses only 26,000 vehicles every day, 14,000 less than the projected figure.

As a result, Mumbai Entry Point Limited (MEPL), the toll agency on BWSL, has decided to offer discounts to motorists during non-peak hours on weekdays.

Road Less Travelled: Around 26,000 motorists use the BWSL every day, 14,000 less than the expected figure. (Inset) The SMS sent to Mumbaikars last month.
