Mumbai: Sanjeev Khanna, the second husband of Indrani Mukherjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, is expected to be produced before a court in Bandra, Mumbai, on Friday. Mikhail Bora, Sheena's brother, is also expected to join the investigation as a witness in Mumbai.

Reports said that all of the accused are expected to be brought together at the Khar Police station in Mumbai, where their respective versions of what led to Sheena's murder in 2012 will be presented and verified to allow the police to arrive at a definitive conclusion. On Thursday, Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria said he had a fair idea on the motives behind the murder of Sheena Bora, the daughter of former CEO of 9X Media, Indrani Mukerjea.

"We have recorded statements of the lady accused. Sheena was strangulated and her body was burnt by pouring petrol thereafter to protect the identity. The third accused Sanjeev Khanna will reach the city today. We have a fair idea of the motive behind Sheena's murder. But after interrogating the third accused, we will be in a position to tell the motive," Maria said here.
"Today (Thursday), in the investigation, it has transpired that Sheena Bora's resignation letter was signed on behalf of Sheena Bora at the behest of the lady accused. We have recorded the statement. Our teams have gone to Guwahati, Kolkata and other parts of the country for investigation," Maria added. Indrani Mukherjea has been charged with the murder of her daughter and of disposing her body in April 2012 with the alleged help of her second husband Sanjeev Khanna. She is now police custody till August 31.
