A 42-year-old Bangladeshi national was arrested for illegal stay in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/thane-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Maharashtra's Thane district</a>, police said on Monday.
The accused had been working as a tailor at different establishments in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/bhiwandi-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Bhiwandi town</a> since the last 10 years and did not possess any valid documents, assistant police inspector V B Bade of Narpoli police station said.

The man was found working at a garment factory at Dapoda of Bhiwandi and was arrested during a check on Saturday, he said.
An offence under relevant sections of the Indian Passport Act and the Foreign Nationals Act has been registered, the official added.
