Thane: Fire at MMRDA rental complex sparks panic, no injuries reported

A late-night fire at the Dosti MMRDA Rental Complex in Thane's Vartak Nagar triggered panic after thick smoke spread through the building. Firefighters rushed to the spot and contained the blaze. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation

A fire broke out at the Dosti MMRDA Rental complex in Thane's Vartak Nagar area during the late hours of Friday. The blaze triggered panic among residents after thick smoke engulfed parts of the residential building.

The incident occurred at around 11 pm on June 19 on the ground floor of Building No. 1 in the MMRDA rental complex. As per the officials, the fire rapidly generated dense smoke, which spread to the first and second floors, causing distress among occupants.
