Fire breaks out in Thane housing society flat, no injuries reported

A fire broke out in a residential flat in Thane on Thursday evening, but no injuries were reported, officials from the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell said.

According to officials, the incident occurred around 5:32 pm on March 6, 2026, after the Disaster Management Cell received information from the Rustamji Fire Station about a fire inside a flat in A2 Wing of Building No. 73 at Vrindavan Society in Thane (West).

The fire caused damage to household appliances including a washing machine, refrigerator and electrical wiring, which were partially burnt.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported, and the situation was brought fully under control.
