Maharashtra's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/thane-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane district</a> has reported one new case of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Coronavirus-articles" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">coronavirus</a>, taking its infection count to 7,47,408, a health official told news agency PTI on Sunday.
The new case was recorded on Saturday, he said, adding that there are currently 11 active Covid-19 cases in the district, which comes under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The death toll in the district remained unchanged at 11,971 and the recovery count stood at 7,36,194, he said.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Saturday recorded 11 new coronavirus infections which took the tally of cases in the state to 81,36,791, the health department said.
The death toll remained unchanged at 1,48,418 with no new pandemic-related death reported.
With 13,417 swab samples tested since previous evening, the number of Covid-19 tests conducted across the state so far rose to 8,60,13,994.
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 79,88,236 with eight patients recovering since previous evening.
Maharashtra has 137 active Covid-19 cases including highest 69 in Pune district followed by 29 in Mumbai and nine in Thane district.
Maharashtra's recovery rate is 98.17 per cent and case fatality rate 1.82 per cent.
