<p><strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/thane-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a></strong> district on Thursday reported 20 new cases of <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Covid-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19</a></strong>. The fresh cases took the infection tally to 1,97,038, according to a bulletin issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).</p>
<p>According to the civic body, no Covid-19 related death was reported on Friday. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.</p>

<p>With addition of the latest coronavirus cases, Thane currently has 174 active cases.</p>
<p>26 Covid-19 patients recovered on October 20, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,702. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.81 per cent.</p><p>
