The Thane district administration has directed schools across the district to take all necessary precautionary measures and prioritise the safety of students and staff following a series of heavy rainfall warnings issued by the Regional Meteorological Department, Mumbai.

According to an official communication issued by Dr. Sandeep Mane, Collector and District Magistrate, Thane, the district is expected to witness intense rainfall over the next several days, with weather alerts remaining in force until July 5.
