Weapons seized in Mumbai ahead of civic polls, one held

Three days before the civic body polls, city police on Monday seized seven firearms and 12 live rounds and arrested a man from Bihar, who had come here to deliver the weapons, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid near Kurla Railway Terminus, when the accused, a former private bank employee, was spotted waiting for the weapons to be collected, police said.
