Mumbai News LIVE Updates: Three arrested in Palghar for attack on farmer and father
Mokhada Police in Palghar have arrested three men within 12 hours of an attack on a 20-year-old farmer and his father in Satuli village. According to police, Somnath Navsu Phurphane and his 55-year-old father, Ladkya Phurphane were at home when the three accused — Jitendra aka Jitu Jayram Patole (31), Ritesh aka Guddu Tukaram Patole (23), and Pramod aka Panya Chintaman Warghade (25), all residents of Satuli — allegedly attacked them with sticks and a sickle. Phurphane was tied with a rope, and both he and his father sustained injuries during the assault. Following a complaint, Mokhada Police registered a first information report (FIR) under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including assault and attempted murder. Acting swiftly, search teams under the supervision of the Palghar Police leadership arrested the three accused within 12 hours. The investigation is underway under Sub-Divisional Police Officer Samir Meher.
