The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) termed the development as a "threat to democratic norms", arguing that the absence of LoPs in both Houses weakens institutional checks and balances at a time when the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti enjoys a commanding majority. (PTI)
