Tension was reported in Mumbai's Mahim area on Tuesday after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha members and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers came face-to-face over a controversy involving MNS leader Amit Thackeray.

The BJP had objected to a video showing Thackeray during a visit to a college in Pune on Monday, asking MNS workers to remove a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a wall. The video surfaced on social media on Monday and subsequently went viral. BJP workers alleged that Thackeray’s action was disrespecting the Prime Minister.
