Vikram Gokhale's directorial venture deals with corrupt practices in medical field

Why did you enter film direction so late?

My film speaks about the agony and ecstasy of the common man. The film is on corrupt practices in the medical profession. I liked the subject when I read the Marathi adaptation of the American novel The Error of Judgment translated by Dr Nitin Lavangare, 20 years ago.

Your film focuses on corrupt practices in medical profession...
A woman in the medical profession is the protagonist. She objects to a wrong decision taken by another qualified cancer surgeon to operate on an unmarried woman. The operation would have deprived the woman from her right to become a mother. This topic is still relevant today and tomorrow also.

To what extent do you think you have achieved as a director?
Filmmaking is a learning process and I have done a lot of homework and research to handle the subject. I spoke to 100 doctors in the medical profession in Pune, Mumbai as well as abroad. Secondly, I am thankful to all my actors, the producers and executive producer. The script and dialogue writers Sameer Vidvans and Kshitij Patwardhan have done a wonderful job.

How do you plan to release this film?
The film had already released on December 24 in Pune and Mumbai. Fortunately, I have been getting positive feedback. I am also planning to take it to the US, UK, Australia and Dubai.
