A Person was injured in a firing incident late last night in Shashtri Nagar, Kothrud, when members of a gang shot at and pelted stones at a rival group. Police sources said they suspected members of the Gaiwal gang damaged parked vehicles and shops with bullets and stones over rivalry with the Gajanan Marne gang.u00a0 The incident happened between 10.30 pm and 11 pm.

The injured person, Sumit Naik, a resident of the area, was hit in the stomach and is in Sahyadri Hospital.
DCP (Zone I) Dnyaneshwar Phadtare, who rushed to the spot with senior officials, said 10 to 12 people were involved in the incident.
