Noor Jahan Sayyad and Sugribi Shaikh Rehman, who worked as nurses in the couple’s hospital and are believed to be responsible for disposing the foetuses after abortions, were also arrested.u00a0

Divisional police officer Swati Bhor of Ambejogai taluka said, “Dr Munde has been practising since 1978 and it is believed that he conducted over 5,000 sex determination and selection tests which resulted in illegal abortions.”
