28-year-old Australian woman allegedly raped by a Nigerian at Palolem beach, accused arrested The victim in her complaint at Canacona police station stated that Obi Okaroafor allegedly raped her on Saturday night by spiking her drinks. The woman had befriended the accused during a party at a posh resort at Canacona and later spent the night with him in his accommodation on the beachside. The victim, however, claimed that she never consented to sex, Superintendent of police Allan D'Sa said. On the basis of the complaint, 25-year-old Okaroafor was arrested on Sunday and was remanded in 14-day police custody the next day. The medical examination report of the woman is awaited, police said. Goa crime branch is investigating the case.
