And of course the time taken for them to deliver the presumably yummy fare to your doorstep. Hoogli, a non-descript, hole in the wall eatery, scored high on both counts. We ordered: Even though the cooks stirring up the Bengali meal looked North-eastern (did we just see the Bong readers among you squirm?), the food tasted authentic. We ordered the traditional Bengali Mutton Curry, Manghsor Curry (Rs 120); the mutton was cooked till it was soft and succulent. The Shorshey Ileesh (Rs 120), a mustard fish, had a fresh flavour, while the vegetarian Aloo Phoolkopir Dalna (Rs 75), was a Bengali version of Aloo Gobi. It was spicy and went well with the rice and Bengali-style Mushoor Dal (Rs 50). We liked: We got a chance to peek into Hoogli's kitchen, and found it spic and span. The cooks were preparing fresh rice every time a guest placed an order, is what we managed to notice. It took them 20 minutes to prepare five dishes.
