Krishnanagar: The local bar association in Ranaghat today decided against defending the accused in the alleged robbery and rape of nun at Ranaghat in Nadia district.

"We have decided not to plead for the accused of convent robbery and rape case as it is a heinous crime," Milan Sarkar, Secretary of Ranaghat Bar Association said. Salim Seikh whom CID had arrested in Mumbai early today was produced before the local court here.
